Pringles Recall: Two Types of Pringles Flavors with Salmonella
Posted on Wednesday, March 10th, 2010A new Pringles recall affects two Pringles flavors: the Restaurant Cravers Cheeseburger and the Family Faves Taco Night. The Food and Drug Administration believes that these products may have been contaminated by salmonella. If the said products contain a “Best by” 2011 stamp, they may be at risk.
The Pringles recall is related to other recalls involving salmonella which involve Basic Food Flavors, Inc. AnĀ onion soup recall also took place last week. The FDA also identified 94 products in all that use HVP seasoning from Basic Food Flavors and a possibility of more recalls could be on the way.
Salmonella is usually found in the food and water that are contaminated with animal feces. This is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infection with young children and even elderly people and those who have weakened immune systems.
Consumers who have purchased the recalled products should discard the product and call P&G for a replacement coupon or refund at 877-876-7881.
