That was a mighty sweet address by Barack Obama. The speech indicates some moves from being inspirational to “let get going here”. To us who really appreciate the sterling work Barack Obama does – first and primarily for the US and the whole world – the speech comes as a powerful news. Definitely I would have some exciting things to talk about in my opinion and analysis blog. The blog is dedicated to the work of Barack Obama!

The speech I believe was a very strong one. Obama’s qualities as speaker are not unknown, as a matter of fact, I believe that one of the main reasons he was elected president was thanks to his charisma. This speech is very similar to those given from the president in the past year. The positive attitude shows hope for the betterment of the job market, the actuation of the heath care reform, and also, the tone adapted by Obama furthermore demonstrates great focus on the resolution of today’s problematic economy, which seems to be the main point of the president’s speech. The emphasis on the word hope is obvious, but this can have two different effects on the public. The strong use of the word “hope” can either grant more power to a speech which already seems fierce and positive, or it can twist it and make it appear weak and pleading. Obama points out the problems he inherited from the past and his predecessor various times and this, from the Republicans point of view, could be seen and somewhat of a way to justify himself for the fact that he still hasn’t brought to term some of the projects he presented during his campaign, therefore making the tone of the speech actually seem pitiful rather than compelling and effective. Still, the confident attitude the president displays can lead away from the notion of him being feeble, and his determination comes through with phrases like “Let’s get it done”, especially when backed up with clear deadlines which he indeed stated. In total, I believe his speech was an effective one, now it’s only left to see if things follow through.
