New York’s Giants Stadium has been scheduled for demolition today. We will be having a brand new stadium for the New York Giants’ match soon in the next season. Each part of the stadium will be sold to have the new stadium which will have the capacity of 82,500 seats for fans, including 9,500 club seats and 222 luxury suites. This will soon be the NFL’s third largest stadium. This is one of the biggest achievements for New York. There are also rumors that a Bon Jovi Concert in late May will officially open the stadium. Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay said Tuesday that he hopes to sign quarterback Peyton Manning to a contract extension when the season ends, a move that should make the four-time NFL MVP the league’s highest-paid player.

“We know Peyton’s going to be the highest-paid player in the league,” Irsay said at Super Bowl Media Day in Miami, according to the Boston Herald. “It’s something that’ll get done. We’ll be talking in the offseason.”

The New Orleans Saints looked healthy and active during their practice Wednesday in Coral Gables, Fla., as tight end Jeremy Shockey, safety Darren Sharper and linebacker Jonathan Vilma all participated.

Each of the starters has been bothered by knee problems, but they all played in the NFC Championship Game against the Minnesota Vikings two weeks ago. Shockey, Sharper and Vilma worked in all the key drills as the Saints prepared to face the Indianapolis Colts in Sunday’s Super Bowl.

For Dwight Freeney, South Florida is the perfect locale for a Super Bowl — and a sore ankle.

The Indianapolis Colts’ All-Pro defensive end said he has been walking around barefoot and along the sandy beach outside the team’s hotel to strengthen his sprained right ankle. It might be enough to get him into Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints.

Reports have been spreading of a shark attack that took place in Stuart Beach Florida. A kite surfer had been killed by a shark attack at the said beach in Florida. The identity of the victim is Stephen Howard Schafer who is 38 years old. He had been kite surfing at Stuart Beach at about 4:15 pm and suddenly sharks attacked him. He was pulled out of Stuart Beach with shark bites and was rushed to the local hospital, but he didn’t make it. Several thousands of sharks have been spotted in the areas of Florida, and this has been thought that it’s due to the migration patterns. Sega’s Sonic the Hedgehog is coming back for its fourth installment and a lot of gamers just can’t wait for its release date. The title for the Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is codenamed “Project Needlemouse” which is bound to be released this 2010. It is going to be released for Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii. We will be having the target release date this 2010. The first announcement made for the game was on September 2, 2009. It’s official name was revealed today. American Idol Jessica Furney of season 8 sang the song “Footprints in the Sand“. I never imagined that she would impress Simon Cowell, a popular talent judge of American Idol, through her ‘beautiful’ song Footprints in the Sand. Simon’s critique was “Beautiful!”. I like her voice, and it matched with song.

The song “Footprints in the Sand” was released in March 2008. It was really for a charity Sports Relief 2008. The song was created with a theme of Christian poem. It became a single, and was officially released and was available in the market.

Leona Lewis considered the song as a very touching song because it did not only impress the judges, but also moved the audiences. With a ‘very emotional lyrics’, she said it was a very moving song because it is about ‘being there for a person who is in dire need of help’. The song preaches love and affection.

The “Days of Our Lives” is an American soap opera since November 8, 1965. It is considered the 3rd longest running soap opera in the US. The story is about the tragedies and triumphs of the Horton Family led by Dr. Tom Horton and his wife, Alice Horton.

Frances Reid plays the role of Alice Horton. She was born on December 9, 1914 in Texas. Her best known portrayal is as “Alice Horton”. She is the only cast who started since the beginning, and stayed on contract until her death.

It was sad to hear that the “Alice Horton” we know in ‘The Days of Our Lives” just departed. It was confirmed that she died this morning of February 3. Her last performance was in December 26, 2007. At the age of 95, she was still remembered as the great “Alice Horton”.

May she rest in peace. Her name will always be remembered in the days of our lives.

We youngsters love the all-time favorite sega game, Sonic. Its first release was July 23, 1991 in the Sega platform. In order for Sega to provide a rival for Nintendo’s flagship character Mario, Sonic the Hedgehog was created. To those who don’t know Sonic, he is a 15-year old blue hedgehog that can run faster than the speed of sound. The fame of Sonic boosted since then, and hence, many sequels came out of the market.

Good news to all Sonic fans! Sega pulls the curtain. They have announced last September about Sonic the Hedgehog 4, which was known before as Project Needlemouse. The game is probably a direct sequel of the 1994’s Sonic and Knuckles on Sega Genesis. It was said that Sonic is the only character playable, and the game would be episodic(which means it has longer story, and has more twist on it).

Most likely, it will be available for PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360 on this summer. I’m hope it would turn out as never before seen Sonic. There’s a teaser trailer available around the net to excite you Sonic fanatics! Gamers can’t wait for summer to come for this one.

The host of “The Daily Show” and Fox’s kingpin exchanged some good-natured shots Wednesday during Stewart’s appearance on a network he relishes mocking. Stewart tossed off jokes but also criticized Fox for being a “cyclonic perpetual motion machine”.

“They have taken reasonable concerns about this president and this economy and turned it into a full-fledged panic attack about the next coming of Chairman Mao,” Stewart said.

O’Reilly said the Obama attacks were primarily coming from Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck, who have two of the highest-rated programs on Fox. O’Reilly called Beck an “everyman.”
