Mark Linkous of Sparklehorse Committed Suicide

Singer, songwriter and instrumentalist Mark Linkous had committed suicide late last night, confirmed by Rolling Stone. Mark Linkous is best known for his work with Sparklehorse, who released four albums, Linkous also did produce Daniel Johnston’s 2003 album Fear Yourself and collaborated with Danger Mouse on Dark Night of the Soul.
His exact age was unknown, but he was probably in his forties.
“It is with great sadness that we share the news that our dear friend and family member, Mark Linkous, took his own life today,” reads a statement from his family. “We are thankful for his time with us and will hold him forever in our hearts. May his journey be peaceful, happy and free. There’s a heaven and there’s a star for you.”
Linkous was close to a completion on a new album before he took suicide. But at least he had proved something worthy in his life. And that he was able to bragged about. Having a good life was meant to be his but according to reports, there’s not yet reported reason behind the death of Mark Linkous and why did he do that.
