Posted on Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010Luke Air Force Base Shooting - A United States Air Force, major training base of the Air Education and Training Command, training pilots in the F-16 Fighting Falcon located seven miles west of the central business district of Glendale, in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States. Luke Air Force Base is named after World War I Medal of Honor recipient and former Phoenix native, Lieutenant Frank Luke Jr.
Today, a Luke Air Force Base Shooting and fatal car crash reported in Litchfield, Arizona. The KSAZ Phoenix reported one person dead and another injured. Capt. Gonzales, a spokesman at Luke Air Force Base said, two individuals ran a gate at the base with their car at 11:00 PM, Monday night. The officer got out of his car to try to make contact with the two men but the car drove directly at him and the officer shot at the car. The other person in the car was injured and rushed to a hospital.
