I read that the Black Friday sales are going to be some of the best in three years. With the way the economy is. I have been looking forward to getting a new flat screen.

My husband did a lot of research before buying this TV, and it payed off. The picture and sound quality are excellent. We thought we wanted an LCD TV, but then saw this online, and decided after weeks of looking at LCD’s to get this Panasonic Plasma. The reason it took so long to find a TV is because we wanted to make sure we didn’t get one that either looked bad on standard TV channels or was too pixelated when watching sports with fast motion. This Panasonic was the answer. It looks great regardless of what we’re watching.

First and foremost, this tv is quite excellent. There’s no motion artifacts whatsoever in the picture. The 720p resolution is perfect for me. Obviously, there aren’t as many picture adjustments as say an xbr series from sony, but they’ll suffice for the average consumer. The card reader for photos is quite useless as its slow. There is the usual buzzing sound but its quite inaudible from a distance. Pilot freight delivery was excellent and prompt. What’s leaving a sour taste in my mouth is that we bought the tv for about a hundred bucks more than we had to. I thought i’d just reiterate to everybody that Amazon has discontinued its price guarantee policy meaning if the price drops, even a day after delivery, they will not refund the difference. Of course, this helps profit on their end, but most retailers these days have this provision. So, make your decision wisely, and don’t buy ahead of the usual sale (ie July 4th sales) thinking you can get the difference down the road. My recommendation, unless of the price is significantly less on Amazon and you don’t see any foreseeable sale coming up at other retailers, then go with Amazon. Otherwise, look at other retail options.

The colors are true and sharp. I can sit a few feet away from the screen and comfortably read text out of a word file!! I have had no problems with any kind of burn in even despite the fact that I have done plenty of gaming and watched a number of films in 4:3 ratio.
I paired this gorgeous screen with the energy take classic speaker’s and now I don’t even have to go to the cinema hall.

If you’re in the market for a HDTV then the Samsung PN50B650 is worth a second look. Externally, the attractive Touch of Color design incorporated into the clear beveled edged glass exudes sophistication and class. Internally, the Crystal Full HD Engine and Samsung’s e-panel technology translates into a blur free clear vibrant picture perfect for sports and movies alike.
Truthfully I started off in the HDTV market looking for a 52″ LCD panel with 1080p and 120hz specs. After a month of searching I realized that a name brand set with the above specs was out of my budget. I wasn’t considering a plasma because I thought it was outdated technology, fear of image retention (IR), cost of operation, and plasma’s heavier weight difference. However, as I researched more into plasmas I learned that my fears were they themselves outdated. Plasma was not outdated technology, many companies were still pouring money into plasma R
