Do you know Jamere Holland? Jamere Holland is a football player of the Oregon Football team. Well, he was, but not today. His removal from the Oregon Football team was due to a Facebook posts controversy. He violated the team rules.

Jamere Holland’s Facebook posts were about Kiko Alonso. He wrote that Kiko Alonso has been kicked out from the team and the decision of the Oregon officials regarding the linebacker’s dismissal is unjust and unfair. Jamere Holland further wrote “I wish I could block whites as friends and only have blacks LOL, cause apparently I am misunderstood.”

The first set of posts were in response to the arrest of teammate Kristian “Kiko” Alonso, who had been arrested under suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants. Holland seems to have assumed, or was given false information from someone, that Alonso had been kicked off of the football team. This is where he took to his Facebook page to begin blasting the team and stating how unfair he felt that the actions of the University of Oregon were in this instance. The fact was that Alonso was not dismissed from the year (yet).

It was sad that just a Facebook post made him out of the team this Sunday. Coach Chip Kelly also hinted that the expletive-filled statement of the Oregon wide receiver on his Facebook official page is what triggered the decision of his dismissal from the team.
