This is one of the coolest deals of the time as Sanofi-Aventis has bought the US health care company Chattem Inc. for $1.9 Billions. This was announced on Monday. For your knowledge Chattem makes over the counter products like Gold bond skin products.

This deal will make Sanofi-Aventis the 5th largest consumer health care company. Till now it was 6th.

After this deal the shares of Chattem closed at a 33% rise of $22.92 to $92.90. this deal is a part of the ambition of Sanofi-Aventis to diversify their business of consumer health care products.
