A man named Sylvester Pemberton (guest star) tracks down Chloe (Allison Mack) and tells her he knows about her team of superheroes and needs their help. However, before he can explain who he is, he is attacked and killed by Icicle (guest star Wesley Macinnes). Clark (Tom Welling) and Chloe’s (Allison Mack) investigation leads Clark to the former headquarters of the Justice Society of America where he meets up with Nelson AKA Dr. Fate (guest star Brent Stait), Carter Hall AKA Hawkman (guest star Michael Shanks) and Courtney AKA Star Girl (guest star Britt Irvin). Courtney pleads with Hawkman and Dr. Fate to help her catch the killer that is targeting their group but they are reluctant to resume their duties as superheroes. Clark, John Jones (guest star Phil Morris), Green Arrow (Justin Hartley) and Chloe team up to help the JSA stop Icicle before he murders another member of the group. Meanwhile, Lois (Erica Durance) receives a package from a mysterious agency called Checkmate, run by Amanda Waller (guest star Pam Grier).

In Macomb, Illinois, a gunman has fired shots at a police from a Farm King store. Macomb police were called at 12:45 PM to respond to the reports of shots. Nearby Western Illinois University is on alert as the standoff continues. The gunman took hostage two men, two women and a boy.

Witness Richard Moulton was at the Farm King shopping for a battery charger with his father when they suddenly heard someone arguing and then yelling.

Richard Moulton have said that the person was saying,

“Get away from me if you don’t want to get shot”

Minutes later, four to five shots have been fired, and an employee came around the counter, to say that there was a man with a loaded gun, Richard Moulton said.

DRIVE4COPD – The National Association for Stock Car Racing has joined with the Drive4copd. The Drive4copd is a multi-year public health initiative to alert millions of Americans who may be at risk for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). The partnership between DRIVE4COPD and NASCAR will focus on supporting the efforts of DRIVE4COPD to raise national awareness of this common disease.

DRIVE4COPD becomes Official Health Initiative of NASCAR, educating fans about this disease and providing screening at NASCAR Nationwide and Sprint Cup Series races. It will also hold race entitlement for the season-opening of NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Daytona International Speedway. The Drive4COPD 300 will be on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 1 PM ET.

The Toyota Motor Corporation has one more problem to deal with recent reports of brake problems with the Prius hybrid gas-electric car.

The Japanese automaker has been having problems with massive recalls and plant shutdowns relating to a sticky accelerator in its models.

Executives announced a strategy to fix the problems they are facing prior to the Prius hybrid car.

“What the report suggests is that sometimes the braking system in the Prius can stop working on bumpy and slippery roads.”

Japan’s transport ministry had said that they had also received 14 complaints since July last year about brake problems with Toyota’s new Prius hybrid.

Among the complaints included an accident which was happened last July 2009, in which a Prius crashed onto another car at an intersection.

After Oceanic Air Flight 815 tears apart in mid-air and crashes on a Pacific island on September 22nd 2004, its survivors are forced to find inner strength they never knew they had in order to survive. But they discover that the island holds many secrets, including a mysterious smoke monster, polar bears, housing with electricity and hot & cold running water, a group of island residents known as “The Others,” and a mysterious man named Jacob.

The survivors also find signs of those who came to the island before them, including a 19th century sailing ship called The Black Rock and the ruins of an ancient statue, as well as bunkers belonging to the Dharma Initiative — a group of scientific researchers who inhabited the island in the recent past.
