A tornado that raked the southwestern Waukesha County just before five Monday evening flattened a half dozen houses, downed trees and power lines, damaged structures and caused at least minor injuries in the small town of Eagle and nearby areas.

Officials locked down the Naval Air Engineering Center in Lakehurst, New Jersey for about an hour Monday morning due to “multiple events” that happened around 9:30 a.m. A spokeswoman said that one incident involved a delivery truck driver carrying a legal firearm, at the same time, a gunshot was heard in another section. Kroger issues a recall on certain containers of its Kroger Deluxe Chocolate Paradise Ice Cream products for having no information about its nut contents in the label. The company is advising the public that these nuts could cause a severe health risk for people with symptoms related with nut allergies.
