Bagging three major awards, Carrie Underwood brought home the top honor of the 2010 CMT Music Awards, including video of the year, the biggest prize of the night, Wednesday. The event was hosted by Kid Rock, a rapping rocker with a country streak.
Guitarist, singer and producer Dana Key, one half and co-founder of the legendary Christian rock band DeGarmo & Key, has passed away at the age of 56 on Sunday from complications of a ruptured blood clot, according to the website ccmmagazine.com.

The two finalists of the American Idol came to the showdown as they sing for the last time on Idol stage Tuesday night at the Nokia Theatre. Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox gave all their best performances in front of awed fans and the final judging begins after the showdown. Only one question is left: Who will win American Idol 2010?
The 27-year-old Texan Casey James who won the fewest votes in the semi-final has been kicked off American Idol Season 9. His elimination was one of the least surprising results shows of the season. Although he did well and performed with no major flaws on Tuesday’s show, he lacked the momentum that has pushed Crystal and Lee forward.
The 26-year-old St. Petersburg, Florida native, Michael Lynche, sang Michael Jackson’s “Will You Be There” from the movie “Free Willy” as his last song on Wednesday night, May 12. After going through the Songs from the Movies week, Lynche, also known as Big Mike, say goodbye to the “Idol” stage, leaving Crystal Bowersox, Lee DeWyze and Casey James in the top three.
