Winter Olympics 2010: Nelly Furtado and Bryan Adams Duet

Nelly Furtado and Bryan Adams had a duet during the opening ceremonies of the Winter Olympics 2010. It’s magnificent how the two made all the ground excited of the grand opening for this year’s Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Both performers sang a song entitled “Bang the Drum” which was written by Adams himself. Now here is the catch. A lot of people thought of this performance as an epic fail. The next Winter Olympics is going to be in the year 2014 at Sochi, Russia.This event is officially known as the XXII Olympic Winter Games. It is once again a gathering of the world’s top athletes that focuses on international winter multiple sports events. The 2014 Winter Olympics at Sochi, Russia is going to be held on February 7 to 23, 2014 and the host city is Sochi, Krasnodar Krai, Russia. This is going to be the first time that The Russian Federation gets to host the Winter Olympics. The last time the Soviet Union got to host an international sports event was the 1980 Summer Games in Moscow.

The voting and the betting for the venue of the 2014 Winter Olympics took place during the 119th International Olympic Committee (IOC) session in Guatemala City, Guatemala. The bidding results that Sochi, Russia was up against was with PyeongChang in South Korea. The following venues are being prepared for the upcoming 2014 Winter Olympics at Sochi, Russia. The Vancouver Winter Olympics 2010 has kicked off with magnificent opening ceremonies this February 12, 2010. This is the best sports event to happen on the winter season this 2010. The Winter Olympics 2010 which is being held at the Vancouver, Canada is composed of 15 different sports with 2,500 athletes from different countries around the world. This is the 21st Winter Olympics to happen.

The Winter Olympics Opening Ceremonies will be telecast on the NBC channel which is CTV channel in Canada. The live streaming of the event will start at 7:30 PST and there will also be a replay which is to be aired on Saturday at 2:40 AM in KGW.

The Winter Olympics 2010 is composed of 15 sports events but all are ice sports. Apollo Ohno Speed Skater 2010 Winter Olympics

Apollo Ohno is representing the United States for the Speed Skater for the 2010 Winter Olympics. Apollo Anton Ohno has been like this since the 2002 Winter Games in Salt Lake City where the Seattle native made his way as the champion for this Winter Olympics. He won a lot of gold medals for short-track speed skating in the recent Winter Olympics wherein he always end up in tight finishes. We Are The World Premiere at 2010 Winter Olympics

This February 12th, Friday night, we will be having once more the We Are The World Premiere at the 2010 Winter Olympics. It’s going to be the 25th Anniversary remake of the “We Are the World” which was sang during the Opening Ceremonies of the Winter Olympics. Producer Quincy Jones and singer/songwriter Lionel Richie are making their best to make this remix a hit. The song was actually sang in dedication to Haiti victims. This time it’s going to be premiere again for the Winter Olympics 2010.

February 12, 2010 – This is the best show when the winter season is on its way. 2010 Winter Olympics proudly presents the fifteen sports events and around 2,500 atlethes around the world to gather today as the opening day will be held today.

This will be the 21st Winter Olympics. Canada is the host for this year’s Winter Olympics. The international muli-sport event will take its place in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada this February 12-28, 2010.

Sports Categories. There are fifteen sports events for the Winter Olympics and eight of them falls under the category of ice sports. These sports are bobsled, luge, skeleton, ice hockey, short track speed skating, figure skating, speed skating and curling. Nordic category has the sport events of cross country skiing, skiing, ski jumping and nordic combined. The remaining three sports events are alpine, freestyle and snowboarding that falls under the alpine skiing and snowboarding.

The Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics opening ceremony will start at 6:00 PM PST at BC Place, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Live stream will be available online by the links of the websites covering the event.

The Winter Olympics live stream will be available tonight in NBC channel (CTV in Canada) and other sports channels and networks. Tape-delayed telecast will start at 7:30 PST. The event coverage will also be re-airs at 2:40 a.m. Saturday at KGW (8/NBC).

University of Alabama Shooting News Update

For those who have heard of the University of Alabama shooting, here are the news and updates on the incident. Three people were killed during the University of Alabama shooting, and another one was injured in the scene. The shooting happened at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. The campus was put on lock down and a female suspect was kept in custody as reported by WAFF. The University of Alabama Shooting called out the Huntsville Police, the Madison County Sheriff’s Department and some emergency units into the scene. After the incident, students were given an e-mail alert saying “An e-mail alert was sent to students: “There has been a shooting on campus. The shooter has been apprehended. Everyone is encouraged to go home, classes are canceled tonight. . . . Counselors are available [on campus].” Another suspect that was arrested was a former University of Tennessee football player who had planned to play at the University of North Alabama.
